CPR Awareness Program

The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) provides CPR Awareness sessions at Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) for the cost of a gold coin donation.

A cardiac arrest happens when the heart has stopped or is too weak to pump blood around the body properly. 76% of cardiac arrests occur at home and are most likely to be witnessed or discovered by a family member. Attending a CPR training session can help you to keep your family safe by learning how to keep calm and give life-saving care in an emergency situation – every second counts.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is easy to learn and can help save lives.

Anyone wanting to learn is welcome to attend CPR training at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, especially parents and caregivers as it can be particularly beneficial to those with children. The 90 minute sessions are run by qualified QAS trainers and take place monthly on a Friday. Bookings are essential – please use the registration form below or call us to secure your space.
