GP liaison program

Our GP liaison program works with our specialist paediatric teams to improve the way we work with GPs.

Our GP liaison officers:

  • help improve the patient referral process
  • advise specialist teams on issues affecting GPs
  • host learning events and courses
  • manage communications and feedback between GPs and Children's Health Queensland.

The program also supports our integrated care strategy.

GPs can email us at for help or to give feedback about working with us.

You can also sign up for our GP newsletter for the latest news about our work.

Finding a GP for a patient

GPs provide essential care to patients and families. They also help make sure patients get consistent care before and after they visit us. This improves patient health outcomes and satisfaction, especially for patients with complex care and multiple health care providers.

Make sure you consider your patient's care needs and their family's cultural background and financial situation when you refer them to a GP.
