Family Advisory Council

Children’s Health Queensland is committed to working with our patients and families to continually improve the healthcare we provide. In line with this, we have established a Family Advisory Council to help us ensure our services are meeting the needs of our patients and families.

The aims of the Family Advisory Council are to:

  • work in partnership with staff to achieve a family-centred care approach to service planning and delivery
  • represent the interests of all families using Children’s Health Queensland services
  • provide guidance to the executive on the development and review of our services
  • contribute to the wider agenda for the development of children’s health services in Queensland.

Expressions of interest

We are currently inviting applications for Consumer Representatives to join the Children’s Health Queensland (CHQ) Family Advisory Council (FAC). We especially encourage those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, culturally or linguistically diverse or from a rural and remote area to apply, to support the diversity of experience of the council.

For further information and to apply, please see the Expression of Interest document.
