Today the Minister for Health and Ambulance Services Cameron Dick announced Queensland Health would partner with GW Pharmaceuticals for Queensland's first medicinal cannabis clinical trial for children with severe drug-resistant epilepsy.

A team of researchers at Children's Health Queensland will develop the trials and they will be led by Lady Cilento Children's Hospital Director of Paediatric Neurosciences, Dr Geoff Wallace.

Anyone who thinks they are eligible and is interested in participating in the trial can call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84) from today to register an expression of interest, or talk to your treating doctor.
