Information for health professionals
The Queensland Children’s Hospital (QCH) Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery service (OHNS) formerly known as the Ears Nose and Throat service (ENT) encompasses a broad client group inclusive of Otology, Rhinology, Laryngology and Head and Neck conditions.
Within this client group the QCH has a dynamic cohort of children who have a tracheostomy to support their airway. These children reside all over the state of Queensland, therefore these resources have been developed to assist both QCH and regional staff to provide high standard of paediatric tracheostomy cares regardless of the child’s location at time of treatment.
