Other referral information

We always aim to see your child as close to their scheduled appointment time as possible. The time of your appointment will be included in your booking letter.

Please note that patients are seen by appointment time, not by arrival time. We run some of the busiest clinics at the hospital, with up to 70 children attending each clinic.

We suggest you allow at least 2-3 hours for your appointment. As appointment times are quite long we also suggest you bring some snacks, drinks and some form of entertainment for your child (a favourite book, toy, game etc). Facilities to heat baby bottles are available if required – please ask our staff for assistance.

Please bring the following items with you to your appointment:

  • Medicare card
  • health care card (if applicable)
  • x-rays or CD of films (if they were done elsewhere)
