The Queensland Paediatric Consensus Statement: Respiratory therapies in ED during the COVID-19 outbreak has been developed by clinicians from Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Townsville University Hospital, Gold Coast University Hospital and the Queensland Children’s Hospital and is based on current evidence. It has been endorsed for statewide use and should be used to guide care in clinical settings, with consideration of how this can best be applied to your own department.

Intubation during COVID-19 pandemic
Intubation is a high risk procedure and specific additional precautions must be taken to minimise potential exposure to respiratory viruses.
