An automated teller machine (ATM) is located on Level 2, opposite the Family Resource Centre.
If your child requires any services, equipment or medication that incurs a cost, these payments can be made at the cashier office on Level 2. Opening hours are Monday to Friday, 7am-6pm.
The Central Resource Service, located on Level 2, prepares and distributes any clinical consumables and equipment patients and families may need for ongoing care at home.
The Amigo Shop to Go convenience store is located on Level 2 of the hospital and is open daily from 7.30am-7.30pm. The store offers a selection of food and drinks, gifts, newspapers, magazines and postal services. Find out more about food and retail services.
Family lounges, located on levels 5, 8, 9, 10 and 11, offer families tea and coffee making facilities.
The Family Resource Centre on Level 2 (near the main reception desk) offers families computer and internet access, printing, free WiFi, phones, faxes, information on local support groups and services, health information resources, and volunteers who are on hand to assist in any way they can.
The centre, managed by the Children’s Hospital Foundation, offers a lounge area, meeting rooms and a play area for children up to eight years. A supervised play service is available Monday to Friday, 9.30am-12pm and 3pm-5pm.
The Family Resource Centre is open daily from 8am to 8pm and can be contacted on 07 3068 4730.
The hospital food court, located on Level 2, is open daily from 6.30am-8pm, offering families a selection of food and beverages. There are also a range of other food outlets operating in the Queensland Children’s Hospital precinct. Visit our food and shopping page for a full list of retail outlets.
Rooftop gardens and terraces are located on Level 5 (for public) and on levels 6, 8 and 9 (for inpatients).
Information desks are located on levels 2, 3 and 6.
Laundries are located on levels 8 and 11 of the hospital for parents and carers. These facilities are open 24 hours.
Battery need a boost? There are mobile charging stations located throughout the Queensland Children’s Hospital to help you stay connected. The charging cables provided are compatible with Apple, Android and Windows devices and allow for multiple devices to be connected at one time.

Chaplaincy and Spiritual support
A team of chaplains are available to offer spiritual support to families of all religions and faiths. The Multi-Faith Centre on Level 5 offers a quiet place for prayer and congregational fellowship.
Parent rooms throughout the hospital provide change facilities, sinks, seating and areas for breastfeeding.
Personal care rooms are located on levels 2 and 6 for parents and carers to attend to personal care and hygiene needs of children and adolescents.
The hospital’s main pharmacy is located on Level 2. A smaller pharmacy for oncology patients and families is located on Level 5. For more information visit our Pharmacy page.
There are 32 playrooms located throughout the hospital.
The George Gregan playground is located on Level 2, near the main entrance on Raymond Terrace.
A post box is located off Raymond Terrace outside the Mater Mothers Hospital. The nearest Post Office is located at 803 Stanley Street, Woolloongabba.
Our in-house Radio Lollipop studio is located on Level 6. A live show is broadcast Monday to Friday, 5.30pm-7.30pm and Saturday, 9.30am-11.30am to all wards in the hospital. Patients can tune in via the bedside Patient Entertainment System.
Ronald McDonald House Family Room
Located on Level 2 (2b), this room provides a quiet retreat for families to relax and eat. Services include a beverage bay with free tea and coffee, a microwave and sandwich toaster for preparing snacks, and a children’s play area. The Starlight Express Room on Level 6 provides a temporary escape from the hospital environment for children and families. Captain Starlights offer up fun and mayhem, alongside the latest computer games, movies, crafts and activities. The Express Room is open Monday to Friday, 9am-4.30pm, Saturday, 11am-4pm and Sunday, 10am-4pm.
Public telephones are located on levels 1 and 2.
