There’s more to having fun at the Queensland Children’s Hospital than just the Entertainment Precinct on 6. Along with our charity partners, we also provide a wide range of entertainment services for children, young people and their families that you can explore below.

Art and craft
Anybody can create a work of art—especially you.The Queensland Children’s Hospital has a massive range of arts and crafts available for you to bring out your inner artist.

Digital device loans
We have a large selection of digital devices you can borrow during your stay.Nintendo Switches and DVD players are available to loan from Kidzone or the Starlight Foundation, or you can borrow an iPad from the Family Resource Centre on Level 2 of the hospital, preloaded with age-appropriate games and activities.
Parent and carers—just remember to bring your photo ID, or, if you have a smartphone, you can request them online.

Pets
Missing your pet? We bet they miss you, too. Or maybe you just love animals?Your nurse, doctor or a volunteer can help arrange a catch-up between you and your old (or a new) friend.

Book Bunker
Do you love reading? Get lost in a book at the Scholastic Book Bunker, which is on Level 2 of the hospital.It is open 9.00am–12.30pm Monday to Friday, with a bedside trolley service operating every day.

Birthday parties
Just because you’re in hospital doesn’t mean you can’t party.We can help you celebrate your special occasion, whether or not you can leave your room.

Music therapy
Do you like music, or have ever wanted to learn how to play an instrument?You can access the music therapy service through a formal referral from your doctor. Ask your nurse, doctor or a volunteer for some help or more information.

Are you stuck in your bed feeling a bit bored, or maybe feeling a little lonely and need a laugh?Clown Doctors are highly-trained professionals who specialise in fun.

Livewire online
Livewire online is a free, online community connecting teens living with illness or disability, and their siblings, in Australia or New Zealand.Whether you’re home or in hospital, you can make friends, share stories, laugh, have a vent and be yourself.
Our moderated chat is live 12pm–12am every day, plus live streaming, games, videos, comps and more.

Live radio show
Radio Lollipop broadcast live shows weeknights 5.30pm–7.30pm, and on Saturdays 9.30am–11.30am.During the broadcasts, you can head to the Entertainment Precinct on 6 to watch the DJs in action, request songs, or take part in art and craft activities.
