Immunisation centre

A drop-in immunisation centre on Level 2 (near pharmacy) provides immunisations for patients and their families while in hospital. This centre offers patient’s access to a full range of funded vaccines on the National Immunisation Program, as well as some non-funded vaccines.

The immunisation centre is a nurse-led service coordinated by Immunisation Program Registered Nurses. These nurses have an advanced scope of practice, which allows them to administer vaccines without medical consultation.

Families can access the Centre from 8am until 4pm, Monday to Friday (no appointment necessary).

The centre is not meant to replace traditional childhood vaccination services at your GPs office or other community health centres. Parents should still contact their local health care provider for immunisation advice or call 13 HEALTH (13 43 25 84).
