The Administration Fundamentals session covers HBCIS processes, including patient registration, admission, transfer, patient leave and discharge. A general overview of Patient Flow Manager and the integrated electronic medical record (ieMR) is also provided.

This session covers an overview of the Enterprise Scheduling Manager (ESM), as well as more in-depth workflows including rescheduling appointments, actioning a no show, adding patients back to request lists, adding Not Ready For Care details.

This session covers an overview of Smart Referrals Workflow Solution for staff actioning categorised and rejected referrals.

Administration YourQH

This session covers an overview of YourQH including: the sign up process for patients and families, actioning tasks, communicating with patients and families and basic troubleshooting.

This session covers information for pharmacists on: PowerChart Overview, Interventions and Follow-up Tasks, Verification and Supply tasks, Documenting Clinical Information, Patient History Sources, Prescriber Functionality.

Allied Health Students

The Allied Health Students course introduces Allied Health students to the ieMR PowerChart and provides a general overview of the electronic record, including documenting and forwarding progress notes.

Nursing Fundamentals

Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart, CareCompass, Basic and Advanced Medications Management.

This course is suitable for all commencing Inpatient and emergency Nurses, as well as current QCH employees returning from extended leave.

This course is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on Thursday).

Outpatient Nurse

This session covers ieMR workflows specific to Outpatient areas, including Scheduling View, Nurse initiated ordering, Cross-Encounter PowerPlan management, saving favourites and basic medication management.

PICU Nurse

Nursing PICU

The Nursing PICU session covers PICU-specific workflows in the ieMR, including medications management and the PICU discharge process.

This course is run every Monday 0800-1600 (except Orientation Weeks, when it is run on Thursday).

Additional training for SurgiNet is booked separately through the theatre education team.

Emergency Nurse

Nursing Fundamentals

Nursing Fundamentals covers a general overview of PowerChart, CareCompass, Basic and Advanced Medications Management.

This course is suitable for all commencing Inpatient and emergency Nurses, as well as current QCH employees returning from extended leave.

Additional training in FirstNet LaunchPoint, ED Floor Plan and Tracking List, will be scheduled with the ED education team.

Smart Referrals – Categorising Clinicians CYMHS

This session is available as an online TeachQ course and it covers an overview of Smart Referrals for clinicians, including accessing the application and instructions on how to categorise, redirect and decline referrals.

ESM – CYMHS ESM for Clinicians

This session is available as an online TeachQ course, and it covers accessing ESM (Scheduling Appointment Book) via PowerChart. It also covers the key functionality of ESM, viewing appointments on the grid, performing consumer searches, and accessing CYMHS Request Lists.
